You can save money on energy costs with the use of a simple product made of denim, the same material used for making blue jeans.
Pat Rist with AtticDr.com explained why his specially developed product is so important for keeping attics insulated.
"The temperature outside may be 100 degrees in the summer, but the temperature in the attic can get up to 160. We've measured up to 170 degrees," Rist said.

A Nurtured World’s 1house at a time program wins Greenlights 2010 Non-profit Excellence Awards Winner for “Best Learning in Action” - Sponsored by the Dell Foundation
2010 was a big year for the 1house at a time program. First we were recognized as the “Best Sustainable Future Today” by the Austin Chronicle Critics, then we were amazed and honored to win the highly competitive Greenlights award. We believe this is a strong affirmation of our commitment not just to deliver comfort, safety, health, and savings to the homeowners we help; but to also give our volunteers a transformed life after working at one of our events. Check out all the details at http://www.greenlights.org/npea10/ . “The Learning in Action Award recognizes an organization that has gained and applied specific knowledge from a workshop, conference, book, etc. that resulted in a direct and significant enhancement to the operation or core activities of a nonprofit organization. This organization has gone beyond research and theory to real application of a best practice in the nonprofit sector for marked success.”
